New Zealand's constitutional advisory panel has the task of engaging Kiwis in the future of a broad sweep of the rules and institutions governing our country.

Those include everything from the possibility of a written constitution to the number of years a government should be in power.

Despite the head spinning nature of some of the questions being asked, the Dunedin representative on the panel says it is a constitutional conversation worth having.
