Auditor General advises councillors they can participate

The Auditor General has advised two DCC councillors they can participate in decisions on an Events Attraction Fund.

Richard Thomson and Kate Wilson delcared their business interests at an Annual Plan Meeting in January.

Both said their businesses benefitted from the Elton John Concert.

They were excluded from participating and voting on proposed events.

The Office of the Auditor General says while they were affected in a similar way to the public they would not be prohibited in participating.
