Dunedin-based company receives good news

A Dunedin-based company specialising in bladder cancer diagnosis has received good news from the United States.

Pacific Edge has announced it has received independent clinical confirmation its cancer detection test is at least as effective as other methods.

The peer-reviewed validation in the American Journal of Urology shows the company’s product can detect nearly all tumours of concern to urologists.

Chief executive David Darling says that could be worth up to $100 million a year to the company, in five years’ time.
