Dunedin police apprehend teenagers responsible for car break-ins
Dunedin Police are pleased to have apprehended two teenagers whom they believe are responsible for a large number of car break-ins.
Senior Sergeant Trevor Thomson says at about 10.30 last night a member of the public alerted them to the youths attempting to break in to parked cars in Plunket Street, South Dunedin.
On arrest, Thomson says the young men admitted to having previously broken into about ten other cars.
The duo are facing charges for unlawfully interferring with a motor vehicle and are set to appear in Youth Court.
