Dunedin school children tested their cricket skills alongside players from the Otago Volts, at Hooked on Cricket.

The tournament aims to encourage kids into the sport who may not otherwise get a chance to give it a go.

And the Volts captain says on days like this they're aiming to unearth the odd gem.
