Education figures give thumbs up to Labour's plans
Dunedin education figures have given the thumbs up to Labour leader David Shearer's new plans for New Zealand schools.
Shearer has revealed a series of new proposals aimed at the stomachs and minds of children.
Those include meals for low decile schools, and plain english reporting to replace National Standards.
Local educators say the nurture and support model has their backing.
