First section of work due to be completed
The first section of work causing congestion on Dunedin's one-way system is expected to be finished next week.
And with five more sites to be completed on SH1, delays are in the pipeline for a few weeks yet.
New paving is being laid this week between Saint Andrew and Hanover Streets.
Traffic management will still be in place next week while road marking and other work is done.
The work is part of a $300,000 NZTA project to replace 20 year old pavement.
The NZTA says there are five sites to go between Saint Andrew Street and the Great King Street/Pine Hill intersection.
The entire project is expected to take between about four and six weeks.
