Groundswell of support for retaining local neurosurgery facilities

The response of the people of Otago and Southland to the proposal to have neurosurgery for the area relocated to Christchurch has swelled to an angry roar over the past two weeks.

Local politicians, residents, the University and medics alike are adamant that neurosurgery needs to stay here, and Mayor Peter Chin has added his voice to that of many.
