John Wilson Ocean Drive opens to traffic

Blustery conditions didn't stop motorists from taking advantage of the opening hours at John Wilson Ocean Drive today.

Once the bollards were removed a small convoy of vehicles made their way down to Lawyers Head to take in the wind swept view.

And one Dunedin City Councillor who supported its opening says he wants to see drivers and pedestrians respect each other in the area.
