Major development kicked off at Botanic Garden

The Dunedin City Council has kicked off a major development at the Botanic Garden.

Resource consent has been notified for the building of glasshouses, plant nursery and propagation facilities in the upper garden.

The $6 million project is the end result of plans that originally involved closing Lovelock Avenue, but ran into some serious opposition.
