Man arrested after milk thefts
Police solved a crime from the annals of history recently, apprehending a man allegedly stealing milk left by a milkman.
While deliveries of milk to the gate may be less common nowadays, it still occurs in at least one part of South Dunedin.
And when police were informed of a number of thefts, they set up a sting operation.
That resulted in a 45 year old man being apprehended after he was allegedly caught red handed - or perhaps with a milk moustache.
The man claimed to have no knowledge of earlier thefts.
