The cycling time trials were held today and there was a notable lack of Dunedinites on the podium.

In the mens 65 to 69 time trials Motueka, Alexandra and Central Otago entrants finished in the top three.

In the mens 70 plus category George Evans brought back some respect to the Dunedin cycling fraternity with his bronze medal.

And Anne Lees did the same with her efforts in the woman's 60 to 64 age group.

And it was an easy ride to gold in the woman's 70 plus section with Karen Farrell of Christchurch the only competitor entered.
