The month of March was plagued by the dealings of the Otago Rugby Football Union, and the split decision by The DCC to bail them out of their financial woes.
Nick Smith resigned as Minister for ACC and new road rules came in to play.
And by the end of the month the glamour of Fashion Week had engulfed the city, marking the beginning of the end for two statuesque models.
