The safety of information the Government holds on every New Zealander has been brought into sharp focus in the last few months.

Data breaches at Government organisations like ACC and the IRD have hit the news, and provoked plenty of criticism.

Dunedin South Labour MP Clare Curran has sponsored a members' Bill to deal with the issue, and she is here to tell us what that entails.
