Dunedin is ranked third in New Zealand for the number of crashes involving cyclists in urban areas.

And the tragedy of cycling deaths on city streets continues to feature in the news.

But the fight to make our roads safer for bikes is moving up a gear.

The Dunedin Cycle Skills Training programme is soon to be expanded after a successful pilot last year.

Programme manager Rose Dovey joins us to explain what that involves.
