No alcohol to be permitted at international cricket match
Police are reminding cricket fans attending Monday's one-day international cricket match between New Zealand and Bangladesh that no alcohol will be allowed into the grounds, and they will be actively policing drink-driving.
North Dunedin Senior Sergeant Gavin Briggs says while he hopes fans will enjoy the match, the usual rules will apply.
He says as this is the first one-day international at the University Oval, the city's agencies are keen for Dunedin to showcase its international cricket ground and local fans in a positive light.
Briggs suggests fans think about the amount of alcohol they are drinking and make plans to get home safely.
