North Dunedin liquor ban dropped

Changes in legislation, and partnerships that have developed as a North Dunedin liquor ban has been developed, have led to the plan being canned.

The DCC voted this afternoon not to go ahead with a ban that would have been similar to the ban on drinking in the central city.

But as they dropped the idea for North Dunedin, councillors voted for a recommendation that could see the central city ban expanded.
