Occupy protesters back in the Octagon

The Dunedin city Council says last year's Occupy protests have caused $3,700 worth of damage to the grass in the upper Octagon.

Parks and Recreation staff say the area is to remain fenced off for another month, and they were dismayed to see a tent on the damaged surface this morning.
