Operation Unite begins today

Starting today, police on both sides of the ditch will be conducting the sixth Operation Unite – a blitz on drunken violence.

During the operation, police will be focusing on alcohol-related offending, including drink driving, assaults, and licensing breaches.

Each year New Zealand Police spend around $200 million on dealing with the misuse of alcohol.

Operation Unite will run until the 9th of December.
