Police looking for three men following weekend assault

Police are looking for three men following an assault and robbery in South Dunedin early on Saturday, that left the victim in hospital.

Police say a teenage Asian exchange student was attacked on Hillside Road at about 3.30am, while walking home from his night shift position.

He suffered facial injuries and bruising to the body, and his iPod, wallet, passport and back pack were taken.

Police are looking for two Maori and one Caucasian man, thought to be between 17 and 22 years old.

The Dunedin CIB is dealing with the incident, which was not thought to be racially motivated.
