Presbyterian Support warns tough economic times will hit families hard

Presbyterian Support is warning tough economic times will hit families hard this Christmas, as redundancies and reduced working hours hit home.

The social services organisation says on one hand, parents want to share the joy their children find in Christmas.

On the other, many will be unable to provide the toys and gifts their children's friends have been talking about.

Presbyterian Support Otago is calling for donations of everything from toys to money as part of its Give a Smile this Christmas campaign.
