Property values in Dunedin are reported to have increased by 5% over the past year, according to statistics released today by QV valuations.

This is up slightly on the 4.9% annual growth reported in December.

The average sale price in Dunedin increased from over $276,000 to just over $279,000.

Tim Gibson of QV Valuations says January figures for Dunedin are starting to show a slowdown in the growth of residential house values experienced during late 2009.
