Repeated cuts to polytechnic funding may spell a dire future

Polytechnics throughout New Zealand have sustained significant funding cuts for the past two years.

Otago Polytechnic has been one of the institutions to receive repeated cuts to funding.

Labour's Deputy Leader, Grant Robertson, has returned home to Dunedin as part of an initiative to stop further cuts from happening this year.

He says if the current pattern continues on into the future, it will severely damage tertiary institutions.
