Researcher says diabetes has become New Zealand's biggest epidemic

Today is World Diabetes Day, and a leading diabetes researcher says there's no doubt the disease has become the biggest epidemic in New Zealand.

He's disappointed the Government isn't listening to the concerns of a Ministry of Health Advisory, and wants to see more dialogue taking place.

But for that to happen, he says it needs to start at the grass roots level.
