A little-known but significant collection of Otago's military history may soon be leaving South Dunedin for the city.

The collection is housed at the Kensington Army Hall.

But Otago Southland Battalion Group commanding officer, Lieutenant Colonel Roger McElwain, hopes it may take pride of place at the Toitu Otago Settlers Museum.

He is here to tell us just how that might happen.
