Safety messages seem to be getting through

Messages to students about safety and behaviour seem to be getting through - so far.

Dunedin police say there were few issues after night one of Orientation Week.

Both the University of Otago and Police have this week called on students to have fun, but not overdo it.

Police say despite some bottle smashing, no significant action had to be taken overnight in the student quarter.
