Short rail trip a sign of things to come

The Taieri Gorge Railway's newest train stretched its undercarriage today in a trip designed to take the pleasures of rail to Dunedin's movers and shakers.

The RM24 Silver Fern railcar swept up the port line to Sawyers Bay.

It was a short trip expected to be the harbinger of many more, and perhaps, some longer ones.
