Your word on rodeos
Thirty two cowboys and cowgirls from five different countries travelled to Dunedin to be a part of the international rodeo, held at the stadium.
Although the event attracted thousands of spectators, animal welfare groups called for people to boycott the event, claiming the animals are badly treated.
This week's 9 Local News Word on the Street team went out and about to ask if you think rodeos are animal abuse, or an acceptable form of entertainment.
