Your word on welfare reforms

Last week protesters across the country picketed on the street to protest against welfare reforms which will affect beneficiaries.

Amongst those reforms is a new requirement for a child whose solo parent is on the domestic purposes benefit.

That child may have to attend day care from the age of three, so the parent can work.
