Cat houses at the SPCA in Dunedin are filling up fast, as the organisation faces another busy Christmas period.

While people get ready to unwind, SPCA staff are hard at work providing sanctuary for animals with no-one to care for them.

And they hope the good feelings of the festive season extend to pets.
