A proposed policy on the sale of legal highs is being considered by the city council.

It sets out where party pills, synthetic cannabis and other legal highs can be sold in the city.

The council's planning and regulatory committee will consider the draft policy on Monday.

It's in line with legislation aimed at reducing harm from such products.

Local businesses will be able to apply for special legal high licences from November.

The council can't ban the sale of legal highs, but it can restrict where they're sold from.
