The first delivery of structural steel for construction of the Forsyth Barr Stadium roof arrived in Dunedin today.

The delivery was the first of a load of the steel which has been fabricated by a specialist firm in Auckland, as there was simply no other company with the capability of supplying the pieces for roofing columns that will require the biggest crane ever seen in New Zealand to be lifted.
