International Science Festival comes to a close

The International Science Festival has entertained, thrilled and filled stomachs over the past week, and on Sunday it drew to a close.

The Sci-fest went out with a bang by holding an all day Fun and Food Fiesta at the Edgar centre.

Those who took part were spoiled for choice for what to choose for lunch with a range of stalls, as well as music and entertainment.

A number of acclaimed local wine and foodies, including Rudie Bauer, Julie Woods, and Michael Coughlin took part in sharing the science behind their craft over the past week, in addition to international imports such as sci-rapper Tom McFadden.

Festival Director Sue Clarke has called the Festival a recipe for success, with many events packed out with visitors from Invercargill to San Francisco, all keen to learn the science behind their food.
