Brocolli and tomatoes lead food price rises

Tomatoes rose a remarkable 42% in June, one of the most significant increase in food prices for the month.

Prices rose 1.4% overall for the month, mostly the result of seasonal increases in vegetables.

Seasonally higher prices were also recorded for broccoli, up 54%, and lettuce, which rose by 17%.
