Work begins on swim coaching future

Work to determine the future of swim coaching at Moana Pool
begins this week.

It may also increase the possibility of future Danyon Loaders coming from Dunedin.

The DCC has approved a plan to establish a Dunedin Swim Coaching Board of five people.

The board's role will include having a contract with the council to provide swim coaching services.

By managing and guiding swimming in the city, it is expected to better pave the way for elite swimmers to come through the ranks.

After a council decision on Monday, consultation is due to start with the swimming community.
