Man arrested after suspicious behaviour

Police have arrested a man following reports of suspicious behaviour at a Dunedin playground.

The 32 year old Dunedin man was also found with objectionable material at the playground on the corner of Falcon Street and Highgate.

After a call from a member of the public, the man was arrested yesterday on an outstanding warrant, and appeared in court on that issue today.

Police were unsure whether the matter was related to reports last week of a man spotted hiding in bushes at the same playground.

They would also not comment further on the objectionable material, though CIB staff are investigating both issues.
