20,000 manufacturing jobs lost under National government

20,000 manufacturing jobs have been lost under the National government.

The recently released statistics have been snapped up by opposition parties, who have used them to attack the Government.

But a local MP says it's difficult for New Zealand to compete with large overseas industries, and unemployment can be reduced by developing the private sector.
