Otago farm sales remain steady

Otago farm sales have remained steady, as the number of sales increase nationally.

Real Estate Institute figures show there were 36 farms sold in the three months to the end of July, compared with 35 in the same period last year.

Nationally, almost 1500 were sold in the year to July, 50% more than last year.

The number of farms sold on an annual basis is now the highest since April 2009.
