Shift to single brand helps lift earnings
A shift to a single Countdown brand has helped Woolworths' New Zealand supermarkets lift their earnings.
Australia’s Woolworths said its New Zealand outlets lifted their annual operating earnings by 17.7% in the year to June.
Woolworths stores in New Zealand were rebranded as Countdown in the last few years.
The company says the result was underpinned by the shift to the single Countdown brand.
