Otago Spirit start season with surprise win

The Otago Spirit started their season with a surprise win over Wellington last week.

But in their second game they struggled to match the physicality of the Canterbury forward pack, and lost the game 26 points to seven.

Team management say they fought valiantly in the second half and did well to restrict Canterbury to just two penalties.
