Thank you breakfast for roading contractors

They take care of more than 7,000 mud tanks 5,000 culverts, and 400 kilometres of grass verges.

So on Friday, the city's roading contractors will be treated to a special thank you breakfast.

Mayor Dave Cull will don a barbecue apron as part of an event to celebrate work the council says is a major job.

The contractors also sweep streets, pick up rubbish and fill potholes.
