Highlanders confirm they are in negotiations with All Blacks mid-fielder

The Highlanders have confirmed they are in negotiation with All Blacks mid-fielder Ma'a Nonu for next year's Super Rugby season.

Other media and social networks appear to have confirmed Nonu has already signed up for the southern franchise.

The signing is a major boost for the struggling Highlanders team.

It adds to a list of All Blacks that now includes Andrew Hore, Tony Woodcock, Aaron Smith and Hosea Gear.

Highlanders Head Coach Jamie Joseph says Nonu's big match experience at international level will benefit the Highlanders.
