Liquor law overhaul begins today

An overhaul of New Zealand's liquor laws will start in Parliament today.

MP's have already voted on one part of the Alcohol Reform Bill, which resulted in the alcohol purchase age staying at 18.

However a local academic doesn't hold much hope that the Bill will make a difference to any of the alcohol laws already in place.
