Work completed on new fence at Beachlands

When safety concerns looked like putting a stop to racing at Beachlands Speedway, volunteers stepped in to remedy the problem.

Over 500 metres of wire netting and ropes had to be pulled down and replaced, and it's come at a significant cost to the club.

Organisers say now the work's completed and signed off, petrol heads won't be missing out on their dose of gasoline, fumes and dust.
