The Otago Polytechnic is one organisation with an optimistic outlook in difficult economic times.

The polytechnic recently forecast its revenue to grow from $84m this year to $90m next year.

As well, it expects equivalent full-time student numbers will reach more than 3,900 next year, an increase of 5%.

Chief executive Phil Ker is here to look back on the year, and tell us why the organisation is bullish about its future.
