Nightly interview: Clare Curren
The Office of the Auditor-general late last week ruled out an inquiry into contracts seen by some as having led to the demise of Hillside Workshops.
Concerns were raised during the closure of the workshops the tendering process for new rolling stock had been unfair.
That led to a Chinese company being awarded the work, rather than Hillside.
The Auditor-general looked into the issue after being asked by Dunedin South Labour MP Clare Curran.
