A Member of the Scottish Parliament was on a flying visit to Dunedin today, preaching independence for his country and taking comfort from the Mosgiel sign.

Michael Russell is in the city as part of his visit to an Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development teaching summit in Wellington.

And he had a welcome that was a little bit Scotland, and plenty of Dunedin.
