A new PricewaterhouseCoopers study into training for new skills and industries says people's inability to retrain is costing money.

The international study for online employment network LinkedIn says there is an increasing need for adaptability in the workforce.

Its writers have recommended Governments should play an active role in shaping a national mind-set that values, nurtures and rewards adaptability.

That would include using employment and immigration laws, as well as shaping education and training systems.
