Making it to the finals of the Royal Rippa Rugby Tournament was quite an achievement for young players at the weekend.

What made it even more special was the addition of some All Blacks and a couple of royals to the coaching teams.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as well as All Blacks Richie McCaw and Ben Smith took it in their stride to coach the under 7's players.

And there was a lot on the line.
