Dunedin police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed a crash that left a Stuart Street traffic light on an unusual angle at the weekend.

While nobody was injured in the crash between a dark blue Toyota Corolla and a silver BMW, police say they are investigating the circumstances.

The vehicles crashed on Saturday at the intersection of Lower Stuart Street and Cumberland Street at about 3.45pm.

The incident resulted in the Toyota car crashing into the traffic light.
